Neon Stele
private Collection, Cologne, Germany
2015
Two glass cones produces sounds with a very three-dimensional presence. The seven neon tubes are lit up at strengths varying from 0 to 100% in varying sequences and formations. The sounds determine the light strengths and durations of the complete lighting effect. Light, sound, and shaddows reflect in glass and on the surface of three-meter stainless steel surface which houses the work. A complex Gestalt of perpetually changing but interconnected intervals is created.
